Copper concentrate output up 10% in 11 months

TEHRAN- Iran’s copper concentrate output reached 982.95 tons in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2016- February 18, 2017), which shows 10 percent increase compared to the same period in the preceding year, IRIB news reported.

The figure stood at 893.839 tons in the same period last year, the report said.

Copper concentrate is the result of a flotation process after the copper ore has been mined and milled. Copper concentrate is an intermediate product used as raw material in the production of copper metal.
